ASTANABUILD 2022 AND POWEREXPO ASTANA 2022: SYNERGY OF TWO INDUSTRY EXPO EVENTS

Ever-increasing speed of construction in Kazakhstan necessitates the use of innovations in the construction and energy industries, which directly affect the quality, speed of construction works and compliance with international standards. According to the Bureau of National Statistics, the volume of construction works in the first quarter of 2022 increased by 8.6% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 588.8 billion KZT.

From May 25 to May 27, two industry exhibitions were held in the capital of Kazakhstan, at EXPO IEC: the 9th Kazakhstan International Exhibition “Energy, Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering” - Powerexpo Astana 2022 and the 22nd Kazakhstan International Building and Interior Exhibition - AstanaBuild 2022. Visitors to the exhibition platforms, the number of which for three days amounted to 1,267 professionals, positively perceived the combination of two specialized expo events on the same dates.

Exhibitors also noted the positive effect of the synergy of the two exhibitions, since professional visitors one way or another have an interest in both industries, which significantly increased attention to the exhibitors’ stands, gathering the profile audience of two exhibitions at once. So, Alexandr Lisitsin, Business Development Manager of Softprom, shared his impressions: “The impression of participating in the Powerexpo Astana exhibition is good. Many people visited our stand, got some interesting contacts, and were satisfied. We participate in this exhibition for the first time. Such platforms, when expositions are combined, are good for both participants and visitors, since an audience that has come to one area can see another”.

54 companies from Belarus, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan took part in the AstanaBuild 2022 exposition. Omsk, Tver, Yaroslavl regions and the Republic of Uzbekistan presented collective stands. Powerexpo Astana was attended by 10 companies from Kazakhstan, Russia, Germany, the USA, which at their stands presented novelties of electrical engineering and alternative energy sources, cable and wire products, industrial lighting engineering, metal products for high and low voltage power lines and metal structures for construction and thermal engineering.

Despite the forced break in holding, the interest in the exhibitions has increased, given the rapid growth of the construction business. So, in 2022, a number of companies took part for the first time. Among the debutants of the AstanaBuild exhibition are such companies as Capaccioli, Latun.kz, Novatex.kz, Avansum, BNF service, Raduga Paint and Varnish Plant, Spetsprom Invest and others.

Raduga Paint and Varnish Plant, represented by Tatyana Sergeyeva, brand manager, shared the secrets of a large number of visitors at the stand: “The impressions of participation in the AstanaBuild exhibition are quite good. We were visited by many targeted visitors, including designers and industrial developers. We interested the audience and other expositions, who were also interested in our novelties. All three days we held a master class, which provided a large number of visitors. Everyone could try our products and see how easy it is to apply. I advise you to hold master classes and presentations, and you will always have an audience. People love to experience it for themselves”.

For the first time at the Powerexpo Astana exposition, the AGSA Training Center, TasCom Supply & Services, Karadel Karaganda Steel Structure Plant, the Pskov Transformer Plant, GINDUMAC GmbH performed with a stand.

Exhibitors were able to provide high-quality content for expositions by presenting innovative and practical solutions in the field of construction, electrical engineering, cable and wire products and lighting.
