AstanaBuild 2009 - Photo Release

On 20 May 2009, Astana hosted the 11th Kazakhstan International Construction Exhibition AstanaBuild 2009 and the 7th Kazakhstan International Exhibition Auto World Astana 2009.

The official opening ceremony was attended by guests of honour and organisers: Salauat Makhambetovich Dembai – Deputy Chairperson, Committee for Construction and Housing Utilities, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Kazakhstan; Kaisar Ospanovich Omarov – deputy of the Senate, Parliament of Kazakhstan; Mikhail Mikhailovich Bortnik – deputy of the Senate, Parliament of Kazakhstan; Serik Isayevich Rustambekov – President, International Association of the CIS Unions of Architests;
Akmaral Amirkhanova – Regional Director, Iteca LLP, Nailya Sermukhamedova – Director, Construction Division, Iteca LLP. Addressing the guests and exhibitors, S. Dembai underlined that although the national construction industry is experiencing certain difficulties due to the financial crisis, it still keeps developing by creating new production facilities to manufacture competitive and high-quality building materials, items and structures. According to the speaker, AstanaBuild has always been a key event in establishing new business contacts, exchange of experience, and demonstration of the latest developments in construction and design.
This year’s AstanaBuild presents more than 150 direct and distant exhibitors from 16 countries such as Belarus, Belgium, China, Finland, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UAE, UK, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Auto World Astana 2009 exhibitors include such famous companies as KAMAZ Trade Company, KTM KOMMERTS, EIKOS, BOGDAN Motor House, KAMAUTO, AGRO-DIESEL, PARLOK Ab, PALFINGER KAZAKHSTAN, and a group of Chinese manufacturers.
Iteca LLP holds its projects in the new Korme Exhibition Centre for the first time. The Exhibition Centre has two multi-purpose halls (Hall A and Hall B) with a total area of 6,000 sq. m, with appropriate equipment to demonstrate oversized exhibits. It also has an underground parking lot for 250 cars.
For visitors’ convenience, the exhibition is split into topics: Hall A – Building Materials and Equipment; Ceramics and Stone; and Hall B – Windows, Doors and Facades; Interiors; Heating, Ventilation and Sanitary Engineering; and Auto World Astana 2009.
Iteca LLP, organiser of the exhibition, is sure that holding projects in a specialised exhibition complex will give exhibition activities a new, more attractive, image and provide conditions for a comfortable business communication, both for exhibitors and visitors. On Day One, the exhibition was visited by more than 1,800 people.
